Official Contest Rules & Requirements

    • Contest entry is free.
    • Contestants must be 13 to 18 years old.  They must be current Texas residents.
    • A panel of youth and adult judges will select one winning submission based on the criteria outlined in the submission guidelines. 
    • Winners will receive a $25 cash prize.  Winners will be notified by email or phone by March 1st, 2010.
    • In the case of a tie multiple prizes will be awarded.
    • In the event of a dispute as to who submitted an entry by email the sponsor will determine the entrant by who established the email account.
    • StartStrongAustin.org is not responsible for technical problems unauthorized tampering and delays in transfer.
    • All judges' decisions shall be final.
    • Startstrongaustin.org reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the $25 cash prize becomes unavailable.
    • Startstrongaustin.org shall retain all records related to this contest for a minimum of two years.  
    • PLEASE BE AWARE that by submitting your creative work, you agree that StartStrongAustin.org and its collaborating organizations may use your work and your name to promote the awareness and prevention of relationship violence.
    • PLEASE BE AWARE that by submitting your creative work, you agree to release StartStrongAustin.org and its sponsors from any liability related to your acceptance or use of the $25 prize should you win the contest, or for any damages,  injuries, actions or other legal claims against the sponsor.
    • Void where prohibited.
